My Father in law loved it here! We camped here in group camping also on single sites we loved it thank you Bernard Bowman we sure love and miss you

Nice campground. We just went swimming there...beach is a little on the smaller side... but we would definitely go again!

Clean bathrooms. Beautiful lake and nice clean Sandy beach. Great place to camp. It does fill up fast though

WARNING: New individuals before you camp please take the 4 hours to read all of their signs here. We learned the hard way. We arrived around 7pm and started to drive through looking for a site as we were told is how you camp here by some others that have stayed. We had some friends that decided to come the following day and we had seen other campsites had a chair at the end of the with no one in them, so we assumed that is how u save a site. Then my sister arrived late so we had absolutely no room for another vehicle to fit in our site (they are small) so we said just park in the empty site next to us that we thought u could save. (Not having read the signs). Next morning I seen a lady on a Green golf cart. I stopped her and was trying to ask her where can u park extra vehicles. I told her what had happened and she told me that I was going to get a ticket for having my sister park where we did. She was not friendly and did not care about anything I had to say. Then about two hours later a park ranger showed up. I explained what happened and he said I believe you and you seem like good honest people but I have to give you a ticket. He said that he would try and give me a reduced one because we didn't know. Well needless to say All the tickets were $80. This apparently is a federal campground because of the National Forest. So Beware of the Rules!!! Worst weekend ever and there is not anything to do at the campground itself. Never coming back!!

We were planning a family camping trip so 5 of us rented sites for the last week of June. Well they decided to close the loop we were to camp in. We understand the reasons for the closing of this loop. We do not know why they could not have given us more notice. One week before we were to camp the sent us notice we could no longer camp at the sites we paid for well in advance. Have you ever tried to get 5 sites one week before camping? We are not very happy about this, it is very BAD customer service!
